Dietanat provides contract micronisation of the oilseeds and dietary materials you send us: oilseeds, seed cakes and seed flours, and other dry materials for dietary products and food supplements. The powder leaves in bulk, in capsules or in pouches, from our workshop in Lot-et-Garonne, south-west France, where we have been manufacturing since 2010. Why oilseeds need specific know-how
An oilseed contains fat: processed too fast or too fine, it heats up and turns into a paste instead of a powder. We reduce it in successive passes, with sieving in between, dry and mechanically, without heating the material. The achievable fineness depends on the fat content: a seed cake or a defatted flour goes finer than a whole seed. A test on a sample tells you before the batch.
From coarse grinding to micronised powder
Grinding produces a powder suited to blends and powders measured by the spoon. Micronisation goes further: particles are finer, the powder disperses better in liquid, flows better and doses more precisely in capsules.

Do you micronise raw material we supply? Yes. You send us your seeds or dry materials, we micronise them and return them as powder, or move them straight on to capsule filling or packaging.
Can an oilseed be micronised very fine? Up to a point: beyond it, the fat turns the material into a paste. A test on your batch sets the fineness actually achievable.
Can we order micronisation only? Yes. Each step can be ordered separately: micronisation only, or micronisation followed by capsules and packaging.
Can the product be organic? Yes, we offer organic manufacturing. Please mention it in your quote request.
