Organic Mother Tinctures

A mother tincture is a hydroalcoholic extract of a fresh plant. The plant is put into maceration straight after picking, without drying and without freezing, in a mixture of pure water and organic plant alcohol, at one tenth of the dry weight. After three weeks the mixture is pressed cold. The preparation follows the Pharmacopoeia rules for mother tinctures.

What the label tells you

Every bottle names the botanical species in Latin and the part of the plant used — bark, leaves, flowering tops, roots, aerial parts or fruit. This matters: two preparations made from the same plant but from different parts are not the same product. The alcoholic strength, the composition and the recommended number of drops are printed on the label as well.

Using them

Mother tinctures come in 125 ml dropper bottles. The number of drops and the length of use are given on each label and differ from one species to another. Keep the bottle closed, away from light and heat.

These are food supplements. They are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of young children. They contain alcohol.
